Finance Manager – Accounting & Tax (m/f/d)

Reporting Line: Gobal CFO (Germany) and Local CEO (India, Pune)

On behalf of our client, a well-established international German production company, we are seeking an experienced Finance Manager Accounting & Tax.

The position reports directly to the Managing Director India, with a functional reporting line to the Group CFO at the headquarters in Germany.

In this key role, you will be responsible for managing accounting, taxation, statutory compliance, and financial reporting activities. The position plays an important role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency across financial operations, while supporting both local management and international headquarters.

This role combines in-depth subject matter expertise with a cross-functional, international scope, offering you the opportunity to take on responsibility, shape processes, and strategically advance your career in the international finance sector.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and month-end/year-end closing.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance accounting standard AS, and local statutory requirements.
Manage tax compliance and related filings,including GST and income tax
Prepare financial statements and management reports
Monitor compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and group reporting standards.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis from an accounting and tax perspective.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting quality, automation, and internal controls.
Drive process optimization, cost control, and operational efficiency initiatives
Ensure timely compliance with all regulatory, legal, and corporate finance requirements.
Promote a culture of integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct
Foster strong collaboration with business functions and executive leadership
Motivate the local finance and administration team (currently 3 FTE)

Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
A professional qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CMA, or an MBA in Finance would be an advantage.Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, controlling, and tax.
At least 3–5 years of experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Experience working in multinational companies and managing cross-border transactions.
Proven experience in leading a small finance or administration team.
Strong hands-on experience in financial closing, payroll management, and compliance with TDS, GST, and income tax regulations.
Proven ability to drive strategic financial operations and support business decision-making.
Solid knowledge of ERP systems.
Experience with business intelligence tools, especially Power BI, is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong commitment to compliance, internal controls, and ethical business practices.
Fluent English, both written and spoken, is required.
Interest in future-oriented software solutions, including AI and other advanced technologies.
