Senior Finance Manager – Accounting & Controlling (m/w/d)

On behalf of our client, a German manufacturing company – one of the leading global companies in its segment – we are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager – Accounting & Controlling to lead the finance function for their Indian subsidiary.
This leadership role holds overall responsibility for Finance, Controlling, Accounting, and Administration, ensuring financial stability, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. The position provides strategic financial guidance to both local management and global headquarters and plays a critical role in supporting sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management
- Oversee accounting operations in compliance with Ind AS and company policies
- Manage liquidity, cash flow, financial risk, and statutory reporting requirements
- Conduct variance analysis, financial reviews, and KPI monitoring to support business decision-making
- Drive process optimization, cost control, and operational efficiency initiatives
- Lead, develop, and motivate the local finance and administration team (currently 3 FTE)
- Foster strong collaboration with business functions and executive leadership
- Ensure compliance with Indian statutory and regulatory requirements, including GST and income tax
- Maintain robust internal controls and strong corporate governance standards
- Promote a culture of integrity, transparency, and ethical business conduct
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Professional qualification such as CA or CMA preferred, ACCA nice to have
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, and controlling, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of Ind AS and experience working in international corporate environments, preferably German or European organizations
- Proven leadership experience in managing finance teams and driving strategic financial operations
- Know-how in Infor M3 or comparable ERP systems is preferred
- Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools is highly desirable
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems
- Strong commitment to compliance, internal controls, and ethical business practices
- Fluent business English is required; German language skills are an advantage
- Interest in future-oriented software solutions, including AI and other advanced technologies
